CASE (Consumers Association of Singapore)
Consumers Association of Singapore
Just Tell Me
CASE is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that champions consumer interests in Singapore through education, fair-trading advocacy and help with consumer disputes.
Also called: Consumers Association of Singapore
Explain Like I’m Five
When a purchase goes wrong, a customer and a business may disagree about what should happen next. CASE helps consumers understand issues and offers ways to work towards a settlement. It also pushes for fairer trading practices beyond individual complaints.

How It Works
One route is mediation: a mediator helps the consumer and business discuss the dispute and look for an agreement. The mediator does not decide the case like a judge.
Where You’ll Run Into It
In Singapore reports about consumer complaints, prepaid packages and business closures, or when looking for help resolving a purchase dispute.
Questions about a prepaid package often involve CaseTrust and prepayment protection. When comparing an advertised price with a receipt, a GST line may explain part of the total.
Example
“The shop and I still disagree about the refund. I’ll ask CASE about mediation.”
The customer is seeking help with a discussion, not obtaining an automatic refund order.
The Part People Get Wrong
CASE is not a government department. Contacting it does not guarantee that a business will refund you; mediation aims for an agreement between the parties.
