Singpass
Singapore Personal Access
Just Tell Me
Singpass is Singapore’s national digital identity service for securely accessing and authorising transactions with government and participating private services.
Also called: Singapore Personal Access
Explain Like I’m Five
Singpass is a secure digital key that proves who you are to supported online services. It lets you log in, view information, approve certain transactions and use digital identity features without creating a separate identity for every service.
Where You’ll Run Into It
Government websites commonly offer Singpass login. The app may also be used to approve a login QR code, show a Digital IC or authorise a supported transaction.
You may encounter Singpass while applying for CDC vouchers, arranging a PDL, or viewing a digital CHAS card. These are concrete uses of the identity service.
Example
“Log in with Singpass to retrieve the application.”
The service needs the user to authenticate with their national digital identity before showing personal information.
Watch Out
Singpass proves identity; it does not mean every action is automatically approved or eligible. Read the transaction details carefully and never approve an unexpected request.
